Hey, remember when we had a blog?

Us neither.

Hi, it's been a while since we communicated here on the iox Blog, so much so in fact that not having a post being made since 2022, despite giving the blog a new coat of paint as of 2024 (out with the purple, in with the yellow), removing an unnecessary "S" in the name and actually incorporating it into the website for once, it kinda feels a bit like a weird taped-on page, doesn't it? Still, it's nice to have a form of direct communication that isn't just either the Discord or the YouTube community page. Feels quite homey.

ioxTV.co has changed since we last used this page. In fact, it's changed so much, the homepage is now literally just an embed to our channel. Oh, and we added Flash games to the website too, just in case you found the previous versions of the site rather boring, or wanted something to do because the school computers blocked Coolmath or something. If you remember, we did have games on the website a while back, though they tended to be scuffed HTML5 games we ported from other spaces rather than fully-fledged games, like the new Flash games are now. We literally just did it because it was a cool idea, but it would be cool to make Flash games of our own shows. Some day. Thanks to Ruffle, this wouldn't have been possible. And they're probably at this rate, the best way to emulate Flash games as they're nearing completion of ActionScript 3, which means more potential games to add. Let us know what you'd love to see on the website.

Ah, and remember Featured Bits? You know, that one thing on the ioxTV.co website? We did a version of it over here, just as a form of archive to ensure that we could continue to update the regular page with new entries.  Now the current page is an embed. You'll find a lot of ioxTV.co has been replaced by embeds, mainly so we don't have to keep updating the website constantly. Although we tend to mainly just ping folk on the Discord when there's a new pick in our playlist .You should really join our Discord. Would be nice to see the 2K viewers who recently watched our newest iox show to do that.

Oh, did we mention that we hit 2K views on Apocalypse Research Committee yet? It seems that a lot of folk really do love Judi and Gwen's antics. And, since we probably didn't really need to say already, ARC returns 17th March 2025. Stay tuned and ring the bells to ensure you don't miss out. Oh, and set up notifications on the Discord (did we tell you to join the Discord already? It's more active than it is here)

Okay, maybe we should cut it out with the Discord plugs. Because we're making this blog post to sort of indicate that we need ideas for this space. Of course, we could bring Featured Bits back, but obviously we wanna do more than just featuring other folks work. If you're able to, send us your ideas here in the comments or through our other communication channels. Blogs are really cool and it feels pitiful we've neglected our own. So let's change that.

Power Records

Created by Emily Zullo

It's closing time at Power Records, all things must go!

However, in Emily Zullo's fantastically animated short film, Sara, the "cultured" worker at the store, absolutely hates her job serving customers who show their obvious contempt against retail workers, especially the somewhat snobbish "Benny Bunny", and the somewhat knowledgeable but very quiet Laney.

The short film has lots in style, some in which remind us of older Cartoon Network shows, mainly Chowder (look at Sara's "tartan skirt", which is very hypnotic to look at) and surprisingly a very Kitty Bobo esc style that we adore.

We can't wait to see what other hijinx both Sara and Laney get into, at least if we get more short films from Emily involving the quite youthful duo.

That is why it is our Featured Bit for the week of the 21st of June, 2022!

Meowzow!

Created by Avalon Barr
Imagine being able to whisk all your troubles away with one simple word? Avalon Barr's newest junior film creates the essence of imagination and courage, one of which may strike relatability to those who watch the young Daisy try to overcome the bully of the skatepark, Nigel. But with a unique twist in mind. Solid animation and a creative, yet striking art style makes this one of our choices for this week's Featured Bit. Check out Iox's Featured Bit for the week of the 14th of June, 2022!

Nori and Zin

Created by sharpytown

Meet Nori, the fluffy, well-meaning fuzzball, and Zin, the fleshy human who... is somewhat clumsy, cheeky and isn't afraid to show his confidence.

Iox recommends this pilot as it looks very hilarious and dare we say it, adorably devilish, definitely a deviation from regular adult animated shows and we can't wait to see more from sharpytown's mind!

Robo-ry

Created by Jawaddles

An unexpected... err, walking tin man invades the house of the troublemaker Danny. Pranks ensue.

Although a short film, Jack has made an amazing series of cartoons and comics revolving around a blue cat Cindy and her troublesome
fiancé Trevor. The dynamic between a cat and robot is something we find very cute and rather fun, so we'll keep our eyes out for the future stuff Jack produces.
